Screen Media Films presents us with a direct-to-dvd comedy called The Wedding Bros, in which brothers, Carmine(Dan Fogler) and Anthony(Brenden Sexton III) Marconi are working for the family carpet business. Both are expected to take over company matters, but they different plans altogether. After getting caught snooping around a client’s media room that contained hundreds of wedding videos, they decided to go to work him instead. Lou Burns(Jon Polito) plays the grumpy old businessman who hires the misfit Marconi brothers as his wedding video crew, while Zoe Lister Jones is in as Lauren the photographer, the pretty, girl-next-door type that Anthony can’t get out of his mind. Carmine is definitely the wild child in this flick, pissing off the boss and getting the brothers into all kinds of trouble and shenanigans. Anthony, even though having a good head on his shoulders, is a bit of a worry wart and can’t ever seem to have a good time. For a low-budget film, The Wedding Bros was definitely worth the time seeing. Written and directed by Michael Canzoniero and Marco Ricci, the parternship was probably a good idea; the screenplay and directing ended up being stronger as a result. And for direct-to-dvd, the acting was above par as well. Just don’t expect ‘Wedding Crashers’ quality and you won’t be disappointed. Michael J. Nicholas - a.k.a.
