The legend returns - and comes to an end! With new allies and old enemies, Robin Hood’s final series boasts 13 episodes chronicling the hero’s adventures. As the series begins, Robin’s band of outlaws are in disarray. Marian is dead and Robin (Jonas Armstrong, Marple: The Secret of Chimneys) has launched a solo mission to avenge her and kill Sir Guy of Gisborne (Richard Armitage, MI-5). Under pressure from Prince John, Gisborne and the Sheriff must take down Robin Hood. Only the intervention of the mysterious Tuck delays Robin’s joining Marian.
This thrilling series, originally seen on BBC TV and BBC America, brings the top-running series to its conclusion in grand style and features a darker, edgier Robin Hood. He is finally joined by Friar Tuck, who is anything but the round and jolly vision so often depicted.
If you’re a fan of the legend or just a fan of the series, this third box set is a must have for your collection! Own it on DVD January 12, 2009.
