In anticipation of NASA’s 2003 Mars missions, First Steps On Mars explores the danger, terrain, and atmosphere that astronauts might encounter there. Featuring footage of the red planet and scientific analysis that proves with near certainty that both water and life once existed on Mars, this program is a fascinating look at the next frontier in NASA’s space program.

In current release from MPI Home Video is a “real life” way you can take that trip. First Steps On Mars is based on NASA research on what man would face if he traveled to the Red Planet. The intensely true-to-life 3D animation of Mars spacecraft landings uses documentary style to analyze the dangers and difficulties the first travelers to Mars might encounter. It also discusses the reasons to go to the fourth planet: a search for life, the types of scientific research they will perform and surveying the surface with a high tech rover similar to the one that JPL landed on Mars a few years ago.

This video will be especially good for parents who want to light that spark of imagination in their children. The video can be ordered online at www.mpihomevideo.com or by calling 1 (800) 777-2223.
