David Richard’s television movie entitled Albert’s Memorial is a comical drama about two war buddies and their dying friend’s wish to be buried in Germany on a hill that the three fought side by side on during World War II. Albert, in spite of his wife’s plans to have him cremated, plans an elaborate escape route for his body after his death, giving his two friends, Harry (David Jason) and Frank (David Warner) a map to the exact location of his body in hospital morgue. His frail old pals promise to grant his final request. The two old men escape the hospital with the body in a cardboard box, driving away with it on top of Harry’s cab. As the men make way into France and Germany, they are forced to face up to a tragic event that has haunted the men ever since it occurred. Along the way, they stumble upon the help of a young, mysterious German woman, as they lose the corpse, break the cardboard box and lose their way. A heartwarming film, Albert’s Memorial is filled with excitement and adventure, every turn of the way. BFS Entertainment releases Albert’s Memorial on October 26.
