TCM Presents: Gone With The Wind

| September 16, 2014

The movie event of 2014 is coming soon to a theater near year. It’s not the third installment of The Hobbit trilogy. It’s not the first of the Hunger Games: Mocking Jay two part series. It’s not even a film produced in 2014! The must-see movie of 2014 is celebrating its 75th Anniversary in grand style. The movie is Gone With The Wind.

Fathom Events are once again bringing a nationwide audience the opportunity to view a classic of the American cinema on the big screen. Previous events have featured the 60th anniversary of Singin’ In The Rain, the 70th anniversary of Casablanca, and the 80th anniversary of Frankenstein. Now in conjunction with Warner Bros. Home Entertainment and Turner Classic Movies (TCM), Fathom will present one of the most grand, epic, and beautiful films the way it was meant to be seen: in a theater on a very large screen. To make this event even more special is its limited run. Gone With The Wind will be showing twice on Sunday, September 28 and twice on Wednesday October 1. Check theaters in your area for availability and showtimes.

If you are an avid film aficionado, or a novice looking to broaden your classic film knowledge, you would be hard pressed to find a better jumping off point than Gone With The Wind. And make sure to get there on time. Robert Osborne, TCM host and film historian, will be opening the show with fun facts and background information that will only heighten your viewing pleasure. If you miss out on this once in a lifetime event, frankly, my dear, you will give a damn.

Tickets for “TCM Presents: Gone With the Wind” are available at participating theater box offices and online at
