If you miss Toy Story (admit it – we all do), you’ll want to be at the theater early for Finding Nemo 3D so you can catch the latest Toy Story Toon from Pixar Studios.
The tradition of Toy Story-based mini-movies goes all the way back to the release of Cars 2 in 2011, when Barbie and Ken starred in a short called “Hawaiian Vacation.” The second episode, “Small Fry”, found Buzz Lightyear trapped in a grueling group therapy session for under-appreciated Happy Meal toys. Meanwhile, his tinier alter-ego tried to take his place with Woody, Jessie and the rest of the gang. You might remember that one if you went to see The Muppets in theaters last year.
The latest addition to the series: “Partysaurus Rex”. Directed by Mark Walsh and produced by Kim Adam, the short stars everyone’s favorite plastic dinosaur. We don’t know much, but we do know it’s got Rex (voiced by Wallace Shawn), a bathtub, and what appears to be a pretty killer pool party.
To see the whole short, you’ll have to wait until September 14, 2012 when Finding Nemo 3D premieres in theaters. But if you just can’t wait that long (don’t worry, none of us can) there’s always this sneak preview to get you started.
