repare for a slam dunk as Thunderstruck arrives on Blu-ray Combo Pack, DVD and Digital Download on December 4 from Warner Bros. Home Entertainment Group. From Warner Premiere and director John Whitesell (Big Momma’s House 2), Thunderstruck stars 3-time NBA All-Star and gold medalist Kevin Durant as himself, Taylor Gray (“Bucket & Skinner’s Epic Adventures”), Brandon T. Jackson (Tropic Thunder, Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Lightening Thief), Doc Shaw (Disney’s “Pair of Kings”) and Jim Belushi (“According to Jim”).

Thunderstruck is written by Eric Champnella (Mr. 3000) and Jeff Farley from a story by Jeff Farley. The film is produced by Mike Karz (Valentine’s Day, New Year’s Eve) and executive produced by Eric Goodwin and Bill Johnson.

When Brian, a hopelessly uncoordinated young basketball fan magically switches talents with his hero (NBA superstar Kevin Durant, playing himself), he becomes the star of his high school team… while Kevin Durant suddenly can’t make a shot to save his life. But with the NBA playoffs approaching, Brian learns that being a true winner involves working hard at your own game, and he tries to make things right in time to prevent a catastrophic end to his hero’s season.

Thunderstruck will be available on Blu-ray Combo Pack and single disc DVD.  The Blu-ray Combo Pack features a hi-definition and standard definition copy of the film and UltraViolet; and the single disc DVD features a standard definition copy of the film and UltraViolet. UltraViolet allows consumers to download and instantly stream the standard definition theatrical version of the film to a wide range of devices including computers and compatible tablets, smartphones, game consoles, Internet-connected TVs and Blu-ray players.

The Thunderstruck Blu-ray Combo Pack contains the following special features:

  • KD’s Klinic – Kevin Durant and Taylor Gray go behind the playbooks and teleprompters to discuss the film’s complicated basketball elements and what it took to pull off their “talent exchange.”
  • Coach Z – In an intimate and candid job interview, Jim Belushi presents his character’s credentials and qualifications to be the Eagles’ head basketball coach with authenticity and gravitas – in comedic juxtaposition to his character.
  • From Backboards to Clapboards – Kevin Durant’s willingness to challenge himself and put in the hard work to achieve success is not only his most defining characteristic, it’s also the film’s universal theme, and provides a compelling undercurrent to how he found his way into this project
  • UltraViolet –  Instantly stream and download films to compatible devices
