It’s back—the scariest film you’ll ever see, in a magnificent format. The tale of five 20-somethings bound on a free-spirited road trip which soon becomes a terrifying descent into madness and mayhem unlike their worst nightmares. They find themselves in an isolated rural Texas community and fall prey to a murderous inbred clan of Texas cannibals and find themselves whittled away one-by-one by a chainsaw-wielding child in a giant’s body who is affectionately called “Leatherface” by his family.

Releasing on September 30th from Dark Sky, this is the same film, only now it’s been given the Blu-Ray treatment, and the results are spectacular.

In addition to the original film in its 84-minute running time, special features on the disc include: a brand new featurette with actress Terri McMinn, created exclusively for this release; feature-length commentaries with director Tobe Hooper, cinematographer Daniel Pearl, actors Gunnar Hansen, Marilyn Burns, Paul A. Partain, Allen Danzinger, and art director Robert A. Burns;
more featurettes, “The Texas Chain Saw Massacre: The Shocking Truth” and “Flesh Wounds”;
 theatrical trailers and TV and Radio spots;
a tour of the Texas Chainsaw Massacre House with Gunnar Hansen;
 a number of deleted scenes and outtakes; and a blooper reel and still gallery.

For fans of this horror classic, this is the version to get. For those of you who have not seen this film, you must see this version; it is simply astounding to see!

Great work, Dark Sky!
