Liam Neeson’s latest edge-of-your-seat thriller, Unknown, releases on Blu-Ray and DVD on June 21st from Warner Home Entertainment Group. Directed by Jaume Collet-Serra and written by Oliver Butcher and Stephen Cornwell, the film is based on the novel by Didier Van Cauwelaert and stars Liam Neeson, January Jones, Diane Kruger, Frank Langella, Aidan Quinn, Bruno Ganz, Sebastian Koch, and many European film actors you probably won’t know so I won’t list them here. However, if you want to know whether or not this film is worth watching? The answer is yes. It is the kind of action thriller which will make you think. The plot hinges upon what is known and unknown, and that is what makes the film so interesting. The action will keep your blood up and the characters will keep you guessing. What if you knew, deep down, who you really were, but couldn’t prove it? And what if someone else—someone you didn’t know—claimed to be you, and everyone believed him? We follow Neeson’s character as he tries to track down his past, only the people he remembers don’t know him. Or do they? Unknown is just clever enough to keep you talking about the film for quite some time after viewing. Dr. Martin Harris (Liam Neeson) awakens after a car accident in Berlin to discover that his wife (January Jones) suddenly doesn’t recognize him. Even more confusing to the good doctor, another man (Aidan Quinn) has assumed his identity. Ignored by disbelieving authorities and hunted by mysterious assassins, he finds himself alone, tired and on the run. Aided by an unlikely ally (Diane Kruger), Martin plunges headlong into a deadly mystery that will force him to question his sanity, his identity, and just how far he’s willing to go to uncover the truth.
